Mutton Dhal Curry:
Mutton Dhal curry recipe is a curry which was made of thoor dhal here.This is a perfect treat for all non-vegetarians and this curry goes well with steamed rice,rotis , parathas, even with idli and dosa. The recipe is even simple to make.
Ingredients:
- Thoor dhal - 1 cup (half boiled)
- Mutton - 1/2 kg
- Shallots / Small Onions - 1 cup
- Green Chillies - 2 nos
- Tomato - 1 (chopped)
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder/ jeera powder - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch
- Salt - as required
- Mustard and urad dhal - 1 tsp
- Dry chillies - 3 nos
- Curry leaves and coriander leaves - for garnish
Method:
- Wash thoor dhal and mutton separately in running water.
- Add the ingredients 1 -11 and add sufficient water in the pressure cooker and pressure cook it for 6-8 whistles.
- After pressure releases open the cooker lid and keep it in the stove with low flame.
- Heat oil in a pan add oil and allow mustard seeds and urad dhal to temper.
- Add dry chillies, chopped small onions and curry leaves, once done pour this in the curry and stir it.
- Now switch of the stove and add coriander leaves.
- Serve this curry with steamed rice.
