Banana Pan Cake

Banana Pan Cake :

   This was an interesting dish for me!! Ofcourse This banana pan cake was my hubby's favourite dish. He tasted this yummy dish in a friend's house and asked me to make the same in the home. He knows only the name  (kaai Ada in malayam) and some what main ingredients(nendran,egg,sugar). He explained me the taste  and I started to search in the internet with this name I could not get it.
    Then only i came to know that this was an iftar party dish. Any how after some more trials i got the same one and of course appreciation too.
Now let us see this dish which is also easy to make.

Ingredients:


  • Nendran - 2
  • Eggs - 4
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Cardamom - 3 nos
  • Cashew nuts - 6 nos
  • Raisins - 6 nos
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp

Method:


  1. Beat the eggs in the mixer grinder and keep it ready.

  2. Chop the nendran bananas and keep it aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashews and raisins and chopped bananas.





  4. In a mixing bowl add the beaten eggs , chopped bananas and roasted cashews and raisins and mix gently.
  5. Heat ghee in a pan and pour the mixed egg and banana and close it with a lid. Let the stove be in low flame.

  6. After 5 min gently flip it to the tawa and cook the other side for another 5 minutes.


  7. Now our banana pan cake is ready to serve.

Caramel Sugar Banana

Caramel Sugar Banana:

     Banana is a healthy fruit which will fill your tummy when you are hungry. This recipe is a sweet one and sure the kids will like it and I will not recommend for diabetics because the recipe is made with caramel sugar which will give extra sweetness to the banana. I am sure the kids will love this one. Do have a try over this recipe and let me know how it turns for you.
   I made this recipe on a fine evening where we have lots of bananas and it started to ripe at the same time. In search over banana recipes in internet i got an idea of making this caramel sugar idea i got from internet and other ingredients are my try. Let use see how to make this recipe.

Ingredients:


  1. Banana - 4 -5
  2. Sugar - 5 tbsp
  3. Cinnamon - a small piece
  4. Cloves - 1
  5. Water - 2 tbsp
  6. lemon extract - 1 tbsp

Method:


  • Peel the skin of the banana and slice it .
  • Heat a pan and add sugar in it .
  • Add the cinnamon and cloves and mix well. You can see the sugar will start to melt.
  • Wait till all the sugar gets melts and becomes thick .


  • Now add the water and lemon extract and mix well.
  • Add the sliced bananas and mix well so that the carmel sugar coated in all banana slices evenly.
  • Switch off the stove and serve hot.

     Hi Guys How are you all? I know this was a very long gap for me to post the next recipe. Was busy with "Vardah" and a marriage function. Now you can await a for recipes from the blog.
  OK. Coming to the recipe , Today we are going to see about a snacks which can be made using salt and sweet. In this post I am going to narrate how to make the salt version and sweet version. This is a easy and quick snack variety even kids can make. This is not a joke or words, this recipe was made by my friends kids with my guidance . This salt version goes well in tea time as a tea snacks. Ok , Then now let us see how to make this recipe.

Ingredients:


  1. Maida/All purpose flour - 1 cup
  2. Sooji  - 1 cup
  3. Curd - 1 cup
  4. Salt - a pinch
  5. Chilli powder - a pinch
  6. Oil -  for deep frying

 For sweet version :


  1. Sugar - 1 cup
  2. Water - 1/4 cup

Method:


  • Take a mixing bowl and add maida, sooji, salt and mix well
  • Add curd and mix well to form a tight dough.(If need excess water then wet your hands and knead it don't add water, the dough should be thick).
  • Set it aside for 1 hr.

  • Knead it again and make a small balls with the dough.
  • shape it using the mould if not having a mould then use fork to shape it.(Place the ball in the mould and press from top to bottom same procedure using the fork also.)



  • Heat oil in a pan and drop the kulkul one by one, deep fry it in medium flame till golden brown.

  • Add chilli powder in the fried kulkul and toss it to mix evenly.

     
  • Now our salt version is ready.

For sweet version:


  • Take  a pan and add sugar and water, allow it to boil till you get the one string consistency.

  • Then add the fried kulkul in it and toss it, allow it to cool .

  • Now our sweet version is also ready.

Carrot Burfi

Carrot Burfi:  

      Carrot Burfi is also know as gajar ka burfi it is a easy sweet recipe made with simple ingredients. It tastes well and kids will sure love this burfi. Hope many mom's will be thinking how to give vegetables to the fussy eating kids. this is nice way of giving carrot to your kids, sure they will finish their plate. Here in this recipe I have added sugar, You can add natural sugar instead of adding white sugar too. 
      Now let us see how to made a delicious burfi using carrot.

Ingredients:

  1. Carrot - 3 cup
  2. Coconut - 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee - 3 tbsp
  4. Milk - 1 cup
  5. Sugar - 3/4 cup
  6. cardamom powder - a pinch
  7. Cashew nuts - few

Method:


  • Grate the carrot and coconut and keep it ready.
  • Grease a plate with ghee and keep it aside.
  • Dissolve sugar and make a syrup with one consistency.
  • Now add the grated carrot and coconut and mix well.

  • Add the cardamom powder and stir till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  • switch off the stove and transfer it to the ghee greased plate.

  • Sprinkle chopped pistas/almonds/cashews.
  • Mark squares and allow it to cool.
  • Take out from the plate and serve.
