Muttai Semiya / Egg Semiya:
Semiya is a quick breakfast or dinner recipe. Semiya is not my favorite dish but any how i love this muttai semiya very much. Do have a try on this recipe and i swear you too will love this recipe and make it often. Now let us see how to make this dish.Ingredients:
- Egg- 3
- Onion - 2
- Tomato - 1
- Green chillies - 3
- Ginger - 1 tbsp(crushed)
- Garlic - 1 tbsp(crushed)
- Bay leaf- 1
- Cloves - 2
- Cardamom -1
- Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
- Semiya - 1 pack
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Oil - as required
- Coriander leaves - for garnishing
Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds , cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, cumin seeds and fennel seeds, allow it to temper.Add tomato and green chillies and cook till tomato gets soft.
Now add the spices powder (turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder).
Add salt and mix well, pour the water and allow it to boil.
Now add the semiya packet and cook till all the water get absorbed.
Bring all the cooked semiya to one end and break and pour the eggs to the other end add salt and pepper powder for egg and cook well.
Once the egg gets cooked well then mix with the semiya and garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
