Caramel Sugar Banana

Caramel Sugar Banana:

     Banana is a healthy fruit which will fill your tummy when you are hungry. This recipe is a sweet one and sure the kids will like it and I will not recommend for diabetics because the recipe is made with caramel sugar which will give extra sweetness to the banana. I am sure the kids will love this one. Do have a try over this recipe and let me know how it turns for you.
   I made this recipe on a fine evening where we have lots of bananas and it started to ripe at the same time. In search over banana recipes in internet i got an idea of making this caramel sugar idea i got from internet and other ingredients are my try. Let use see how to make this recipe.

Ingredients:


  1. Banana - 4 -5
  2. Sugar - 5 tbsp
  3. Cinnamon - a small piece
  4. Cloves - 1
  5. Water - 2 tbsp
  6. lemon extract - 1 tbsp

Method:


  • Peel the skin of the banana and slice it .
  • Heat a pan and add sugar in it .
  • Add the cinnamon and cloves and mix well. You can see the sugar will start to melt.
  • Wait till all the sugar gets melts and becomes thick .


  • Now add the water and lemon extract and mix well.
  • Add the sliced bananas and mix well so that the carmel sugar coated in all banana slices evenly.
  • Switch off the stove and serve hot.

Capsicum Egg Curry

Capsicum Egg Curry:

    Many of us will be scratching our head for side dish of chappathi for dinner or breakfast. Here is a nice curry which goes well with the chappathi. In this capsicum curry i have added three colors of bell peppers , But it is optional you can choose color of your choice. You try this in your kitchen and let me know how it comes for you guys.

Ingredients:


  1. Capsicum -( red, yellow and green) - 1
  2. Egg- 2 nos
  3. Onion - 1
  4. Tomato - 1
  5. Cloves - 2 nos
  6. Cinnamon- 1/2 stick
  7. Cardamom - 2 nos
  8. Fennel seeds- 1 tsp
  9. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  10. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  12. Cumin powder - 1 pinch
  13. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  14. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  15. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  16. Urad dhal - 1 tsp
  17. Coriander leaves - for garnish
  18. Oil - as needed
  19. Salt - as required

Method:


  • Heat oil in a pan and allow cloves, cinnamon, cardamom ,fennel seeds and cumin seeds to temper.
  • Now add the chopped onion and saute for a minute.
  • Then add the capsicum and again saute till half cooked now add the tomato.
  • Now add the salt for the dish and add chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder and turmeric powder and mix well and add water in it.
  • Add the egg and make the stove in simmer and cover the pan with the lid.
  • Need not want to stir or mix the egg with the vegetables.
  • Open the lid after 5- 8 min and make sure the egg has been cooked now garnish with the coriander leaves.
  • Serve this side dish with chappathi and roti!!

Bread Pakora/Bread Pakoda

Bread Pakora/Bread Pakoda:

     Bread Pakoda is a nice snack and also can be made as a morning breakfast. It will sure fill your tummy. Try this delicious bread pakora in your kitchen and let me know how it comes for you. You can make this simple  recipe as a snack for guests too. Now let us see how to make this recipe.

 Ingredients:


  1. Bread - 4 slices
  2. Besan flour(kadalai maavu)- 1/2 cup
  3. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  5. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  6. Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  7. Onion - 1
  8. Green chillies 2 nos
  9. Curry leaves-few
  10. Coriander leaves - few
  11. Egg - 1
  12. oil - as needed
  13. salt - as needed

Method:


  • Chop the onion, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  • Take a mixing bowl and add the chopped chillies onion curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  • Add egg , salt and beat well, keep it aside

  • Take another bowl and add besan flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder ,cumin powder, asafoetida and add required salt and mix well. Add some water to make it to a batter consistency.

  • Heat a tawa and sprinkle some oil in it.
  • Dip the bread slice in the besan batter and place in the hot tawa now coat the bread with the egg mixing on both the sides and cook well. Serve this with the mint chutney!!




Now our snack is ready to serve!!!
