Rice Appalam:
It is too hot out. This is the right season for making appalam and vadagam etc.. I made this rice appalam in home it comes out well and tastes good. I love this home made appalam which does not contain any preservatives and all. It is also very easy to make .You too try this recipe in your kitchen and let me know how it turns for you.
Ingredients:
- Rice Flour - 2 cups
- Lemon- 1
- Green Chillies - 2nos
- Salt - as required
Method:
- Take a mixing bowl and add 2 cups of rice flour in it.
- Grind salt green chillies and lemon extract(from 1 lemon) to a fine paste.
- Add this grinded paste to the flour and mix well add water and knead it to a dough.
- Take a idli cooker and steam the dough .
- After the dough get cooked cut into pieces and grind it in the mixer( it looks like crumbles) and again knead it to a dough by applying oil in your hands.
- Make small balls over the kneaded dough and roll it thin.
- Dry it under the hot sun( 2 hrs is enough for your rice appalam to get ready!!)
- Fry this in a hot oil.
