Banana Pan Cake

Banana Pan Cake :

   This was an interesting dish for me!! Ofcourse This banana pan cake was my hubby's favourite dish. He tasted this yummy dish in a friend's house and asked me to make the same in the home. He knows only the name  (kaai Ada in malayam) and some what main ingredients(nendran,egg,sugar). He explained me the taste  and I started to search in the internet with this name I could not get it.
    Then only i came to know that this was an iftar party dish. Any how after some more trials i got the same one and of course appreciation too.
Now let us see this dish which is also easy to make.

Ingredients:


  • Nendran - 2
  • Eggs - 4
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Cardamom - 3 nos
  • Cashew nuts - 6 nos
  • Raisins - 6 nos
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp

Method:


  1. Beat the eggs in the mixer grinder and keep it ready.

  2. Chop the nendran bananas and keep it aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashews and raisins and chopped bananas.





  4. In a mixing bowl add the beaten eggs , chopped bananas and roasted cashews and raisins and mix gently.
  5. Heat ghee in a pan and pour the mixed egg and banana and close it with a lid. Let the stove be in low flame.

  6. After 5 min gently flip it to the tawa and cook the other side for another 5 minutes.


  7. Now our banana pan cake is ready to serve.



Pizza Without oven

Pizza Without Oven:

      Have you ever tried of pizza without owning a oven. It is very simple to make pizza without a oven, we need essential ingredients and a non-stick pan that's all. No more explanations. Now let us see how to make a pizza easily.

Ingredients:


  • Maida/All Purpose Flour - 1 cup
  • Yeast -1 tsp 
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Luke warm water - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - as required
  • Olive oil - as required

Toppings:(as per your wish):


  • Onion- 1 
  • Capsicum - 1
  • Tomato- 1 
  • Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup
  • Pizza sauce /Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp

Method:


  1. Take a bowl and add yeast ,sugar and luke-warm water and close with the lid. Let it be aside for at-least 10 min.


  2. Take a mixing bowl and add maida, salt and the yeast solution and mix well to form a dough. Apply oil at the top and cover the dough with a towel and let it be for 1 hr.

  3. Chop the onion, capsicum and tomato and keep it ready.

  4. After 1 hr again knead the dough and roll it to a thick chappathi and make holes using fork.
  5. Heat a pan and add few drops of olive oil and add the rolled chappathi in it and cover it with the lid.

  6. After 2 min open the lid and flip the pizza base .

  7. Now spread 1 tbsp of pizza sauce /tomato ketchup and add the toppings finally with mozzarella cheese.


  8. Cover it with a lid and let this cook in a low flame.
  9. After 5 min switch off the stove and let be in the pan for another 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with the ketchup.

  11. Really a yummy pizza is ready !!!!

Rice Appalam/Arisi appalam/Rice aplam/Arisi aplam

Rice Appalam:

 It is too hot out. This is the right season for making appalam and vadagam etc.. I made this rice appalam in home it comes out well and tastes good. I love this home made appalam which does not contain any preservatives and all. It is also very easy to make .You too try this recipe in your kitchen and let me know how it turns for you.

Ingredients:


  1. Rice Flour - 2 cups
  2. Lemon- 1 
  3. Green Chillies - 2nos
  4. Salt - as required

Method:


  • Take a mixing bowl and add 2 cups of rice flour in it.
  • Grind salt green chillies and lemon extract(from 1 lemon) to a fine paste.

  • Add this grinded paste to the flour and mix well add water and knead it to a dough.



  • Take a idli cooker and steam the dough .




  • After the dough get cooked cut into pieces and grind it in the mixer( it looks like crumbles) and again knead it to a dough by applying oil in your hands.



  • Make small balls over the kneaded dough and roll it thin.



  • Dry it under the hot sun( 2 hrs is enough for your rice appalam to get ready!!)
  • Fry this in a hot oil.
